GAME DAY!
It’s a mid-week pre-season game, so you can assume there are good seats still available. Remember, parking is $10 unless you pre-pay for the arena “orange” deck. At all parking authority decks and lots, remember to pull head-in so that the plates can be easily seen by the parking overlords. ParkMobile is in use in many/most areas.
I imagine tonight’s rosters will be a mixture of guys just sent down and some remaining players who need the ice time. WBS may or may not send their entire roster as they prepare to face us in the opener on Saturday–depending on who they want to ride the bus. For that reason, I’d make the home team the favorite tonight.
Event time is 7:05pm, with less fanfare, I’d expect us to drop the puck closer to “event time” than usual. Doors at 6:00pm, season ticket holders at 5:45pm.
Broadcast should be available on Service Electric 2, streaming from the web and the app, and over the air at AM-1470.

What To Watch:
- “The new guys.” Take a look if some of the guys sent down from Philly are on the ice tonight. Many folks thought we’d lose a player or two to waivers, but they’re all here.
- The lines. We’ll see about tonight, but this could be a deep and skilled team this season. Injuries and flyer shenanigans could spoil our fun, as per usual. Watch to see if you see the start of something good, tonight.
- The preseason sweaters. You can see them in the photos above. I think they’re a nice simple get-up for the preseason. What say you?
What’s Next?
The Phantoms open the regular season on the road in Wilkes-Barre Saturday at 6:05PM. I’ve heard tell of turnpike closures, so keep a watch on that if you’re making the trip up. Sunday they will be in Hershey. They’ll return a week from Saturday for two in a row with Cleveland to open the home schedule.
