IronPigs: Tickets and Promotions, Oh My!

It’s Ticket Weekend in Eastern Pennsylvania.  National Pig Day will be observed on Saturday at what is still Coca Cola Park.  The former “Ticketpalooza” at Reading will happen at roughly the same time:  Tickets to pick up, National Anthem to sing, and a job fair to boot!  Free eats at both locations.  Oh, and the IronPigs promotional schedule was finally released!  Read on for a game-by-game summary.

Weekly Rhythm

We’re still not fans of the six-game series’ that we’ve been saddled with since the pandemic.  But it does give each week a sort of rhythm beyond whatever theme or giveaway might be going on.

Monday is the off day, as per usual, and there are no exceptions this season.

Tail Waggin’ Days are not always Tuesdays, but many of them are.

Wednesday brings the return of ‘Tacos and Tallboys’ which we’ve had for the last couple seasons.  While the lines for tacos are still long, the reports on food quality are good.  And, the tallboys are now more available throughout the park, as we originally suggested.

Thursday will still be the Twisted Happy Hour from 5PM to 7PM.  No food specials are listed, which we continue to suggest here at ‘Top Level’ as a nice addition.  16oz draft discounts are welcome–although prices have not been listed thus far and we fear inflation.

Friday will be fireworks, as has been the tradition for many years.

Saturdays don’t have a standard, just the flag-ship game of the week, often with a theme or a giveaway.  Sometimes fireworks.

Sundays are for the kids, and it appears we’re moving to a universal 1:15PM start time other than Memorial Day Weekend.  Often the Sunday giveaway is a youth one, and kids run the bases following the games.
