Headed on down to Baseballtown tomorrow to see the AA Phillies take on the Hi-A Phillies in an exhibition. The weather should be amazing. Here’s the Reading peliminary roster for this season; they’ll open on the road in Akron (AA-CLE) on Thursday and return for their home opener on Tuesday, April 7 versus Hartford (AA-COL).
Starting Pitchers
RHP Kyle Brnovich: Pitched AAA last season for Norfolk and Albuquerque.
RHP Chuck King: Returns to Baseballtown with the arrow pointing up
RHP Luke Russo: Was in Reading’s rotation to end last season. Returns healthy for 2026.
LHP Adam Seminaris: Lefty from Long Beach pitched for AA-Arkansas last season in the Texas Leagiue.
RHP Braydon Tucker: Started four games at the end of last season in Baseballtown
Relievers
RHP Levi Stoudt: Local guy from Pottstown went to Lehigh. Made it to Norfolk in the Baltimore system last season. A former 3rd round pick.
RHP Andrew Baker: Returns for a fourth tour of Reading. If the velocity and control click at the same time, look out.
RHP Jack Dallas: Not a prototypical pro pitchers, but pitched to a 3.47 ERA over 31 appearances for Reading in 2025.
LHP Tristan Garnett: Big lefty might make some noise this season.
RHP Evan Gates: Effective reliever for AA Giants last season
RHP Daniel Harper: Was on fire for Reading early last season before Triple-A and some injury bad luck hurt his numbers.
RHP Alex McFarlane: Could be on the big Phillies by the middle of the summer. He’s on the 40-man already.
RHP Colin Peluse: Excellent numbers for AA Midland last season
RHP Saul Teran: Really good numbers at three levels last season, including with Reading
RHP Lenny Torres Jr: 41 games for AAA Louisville last season, but struggled at times
LHP Cristhian Tortosa: Big lefty signed as a minor league free agent before last season, finally escaping A-ball.
Infielders
1B/3B Alex Binelas: Phillies snatched him from Boston last season. Former Milwaukee draftee.
3B Carson DeMartini: Fourth rounder out of Virginia Tech spent half the season here last season but struggled at the plate a bit.
2B/3B Aroon Escobar: Did three levels last season because he can just hit. Pronounced “arun” I think.
SS Bryan Rincon: Phillies draftee went to high school in Pittsburgh. He can really pick it, but struggles at the plate sometimes and has had difficulty staying healthy.
3B Bryson Ware: 2023 3rd Round pick out of Auburn
Catchers
Lou Albrecht: JC signee who’s been on several teams in the system as an extra catcher
Jordan Dissin: Phillies 12th round pick, from Pottstown. He was here for a couple games the past two seasons.
Kehden Hettiger: Former 11th round pick, but the bat hasn’t come around just yet. A lot of folks like the way he plays the game.
Outfielders
Dylan Campbell: Came over from the Dodgers organization for International money they used to sign Sasaki.
Raylin Heredia: Injured part of last season but slugged over .400 easy. Played for Adelaide in the Australian League. Dominican native.
Austin Murr: Former Tigers prospect made it to AAA Toledo last season. Bats Lefty.
Dante Nori: Top prospect became international hero playing for Italy in the WBC.
