The Pigs were good to us yesterday, declaring the rainout before dragging everyone to the park. Of course, they’ll have to reschedule all the groups and all the buffets. I wonder how much of it had to do with the umpire crew being so weird about calling Wednesday’s game when it was clear–and when I say clear I mean raining like crazy–that continuing to play was not in the cards. This given both weather conditions as well as field conditions.
Anyway, we’re back at it tonight. Go read yesterday’s column for further game information. While we assume they’ll just push the pitching forward, we don’t have confirmation on that right now.
While We Weren’t Playing
IronPigs are now up 4.0 games on Durham and 4.5 on Jacksonville. In the West it’s 3.5 on Nashville and 6.5 on Indy as Indy comes back down to earth.
Nashville has won 3 in a row and are on an 8-2 bender. And who are they playing right now? Scranton. Nashville came from behind to win in extras last night. So, if you are so inclined, a little extra cheer for Scranton this weekend might be in order.
Game Day!
It’s Salute To Philly Night as we become the Tomato Pies! I imagine the’ll have some tomato pie for us either in the plaza or at the pizza stand. I’ll be looking for it.
There are post-game fireworks tonight.
Game time is 7:05PM, Main/East gates at 5:45, Center field gate at 5:45, Club/West gate at 5:30.

Tomorrow is the doubleheader.
